Inside the 2-year development of Casey's new pan pizza
Every day for the past two years, someone among the 7-member team developing new Casey's food products has been working on the convenience chain's latest offering. "I think about it often," Casey's Executive Chef Andrew Kintigh said of the pan pizza that on Wednesday, Oct. 28, will begin coming out of Casey's General Stores' 3,000 pizza ovens across the company's 19-state operating region. Whether it’s burnt ends with perfect bark, cevapi served Balkan style with ajvar or a bar pie that surprises you with how good it is, these spots deliver the metro’s most satisfying casual meals. Kue’d Smokehouse Kue’d is a barbecue institution from competitive pitmasters Shad and Angie Kirton, who achieved competitive success on TLC's “BBQ Pitmasters” and earned top honors at the Jack Daniel’s World BBQ Invitational Championship.
