Ravenna arson suspect not competent to stand trial
A woman charged with setting a Ravenna apartment building on fire in March has been found incompetent to stand trial. The determination was made Tuesday morning during a competency evaluation hearing in Portage County Common Pleas Court. According to court records, though, officials say she could be restored to competency.
Teen dies in motorcycle crash in Akron
AKRON, Ohio — A 19-year-old male was killed Sunday night when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a van in the Wallhaven neighborhood. Police say the teen was driving a Yamaha motorcycle south on South Hawkins Avenue at about 10:20 p.m. when a Toyota Siena pulled into it’s path while turning onto the street from Edgemoor Avenue. The teen was thrown from the motorcycle at impact.
