Summit County Athletes of the Week May 6-12 | Paige Kelley, Geoffrey Siess win vote
Two athletes from Revere High School won the voting for the Summit County High School Athlete of the Week for May 6-12. Paige Kelley is the girls winner and Geoffrey Siess wins for the boys. Kelley is a softball player and Siess is a baseball player. Kelley received 53.07% of the votes cast. Siess received 48.14% of the votes cast.

North Canton City Schools hires new athletic director
ACTION: Hired a new athletic director. DISCUSSION: The board approved hiring Larry Kinnard as the athletic director. The board also accepted Kinnard’s resignation as assistant athletic director at the high school. Kinnard’s resignation is effective July 31. He takes on his new role as athletic director at Hoover High School on Aug. 1.
Sleepy Hollow Golf Course to celebrate 100-year centennial
The Cleveland Metroparks’ Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville will hold a celebratory golf outing for its 100-year centennial on May 24. The 18-hole outing includes lunch, two drink tickets, dinner and a swag bag for the event. Teams are made up of four golfers, and tickets cost $500 per team.
