Free Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival returns to Akron this summer
AKRON, Ohio – The Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival, offering free professional dance performances, returns to Akron parks starting July 26. It’s the 50th anniversary of the festival, which runs for three weekends. Highlights include performances by the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Ohio Contemporary Ballet, GroundWorks Dance Theater and the Inlet Dance Theatre. The dance companies will offer master classes for advanced dance students at the University of Akron on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. during the festival weeks. Registration is required.
