Death of Woman at Raritan Public Library Deemed Not Suspicious
RARITAN, NJ - Raritan Borough Police are investigating the death of a 44-year-old woman after she was found April 20 at 9:45 a.m. bleeding in the bathroom of the Raritan Borough Public Library, on East Somerset Street. According to Sgt. Everett Holt, the Somerville woman was found suffering from several self-inflicted wounds to her arms.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Officers started lifesaving measures, Holt said, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital BLS and ALS units also responded to the scene to assist. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Holt said a preliminary report deemed the woman's death to be non-suspicious. The Northern NJ Regional Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy at a later date. Hillsborough fire calls
On April 26 at approximately 12:16 p.m., the Hillsborough Township Police Department responded to 555 Hillsborough Road for a report of a structure fire. Arriving units discovered the front of the home was fully engulfed in flames and heavy dark smoke. The fire quickly spread to the main area of the home prior to the Hillsborough Township Fire Department being able to extinguish the fire. One resident was treated for smoke inhalation by Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) EMS (emergency medical services). The fire is not considered suspicious but remains under investigation by detectives from the Hillsborough Township Police Department and the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety.
