Officers started lifesaving measures, Holt said, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital BLS and ALS units also responded to the scene to assist.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Holt said a preliminary report deemed the woman's death to be non-suspicious. The Northern NJ Regional Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy at a later date.

Raritan Borough Police reminded the public that if they or someone they know is suffering from crisis, they can call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
