Pike County receives no ACGP downtown and destination funding
The only funding Pike County received from the Appalachian Community Grant program was for school based health care facilities. JACKSON, Ohio — The Jackson Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening around 6 PM. According to authorities, a 2009 Ford Focus driven by 43-year-old Brian D. Landers, of Portsmouth, was traveling south on Route 139 when he allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Route 32. Landers, troopers say, was then struck by James R. Whitney, 49, of Albany, driving his 2019 Jeep Cherokee.
