    Penn State makes NCAA Tournament for first time since 2011

    UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) — Penn State softball made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011. The Nittany Lions finished the regular season 34-18 after losing in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. The 34 wins are fourth most in program history.

    The Lady Lions will be the three seed in the Bryan College Station Regional and will take on Texas State in their first game. Also in the Regional are 16th seeded Texas A&M and Albany.

    The first action for the Lady Lions will be Friday May 17 at 4:00 pm ET.
