Teen arrested, accused of shooting man multiple times in Cleveland Co.
PATTERSON SPRINGS, N.C. (WBTV) - Cleveland County deputies are investigating after a juvenile allegedly shot a man from Charlotte. Deputies said they were called out around 3:50 p.m. Thursday to a shooting in the area of Kim Drive and Shaw Street. There, they found Kenneth Patterson, of Charlotte, had been shot multiple times.

A 17-year-old is in the custody of juvenile justice after law enforcement said he shot and critically injured another teenager while the two were inside a vehicle Thursday afternoon near Patterson Springs. Woman seriously injured in violent carjacking at Charlotte Cook Out
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman was seriously injured in a carjacking at a north Charlotte Cook Out early Friday, police said. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported shooting at the Cook Out on West Sugar Creek Road and I-85 around 12:45 a.m. on May 17. A witness told officers that three men tried to steal the woman's 2020 Chevrolet Sonic when she was in the drive-thru. At some point during the encounter, the 23-year-old victim was shot by one of the suspects.
Southbound lanes of I-85 in Gaston Co. reopened after police activity
LOWELL, N.C. (WBTV) - Southbound lanes of Interstate 85 in Gaston County have reopened after police activity in the area Friday evening. According to NCDOT, the road was closed at the South Main Street exit in Lowell. No further information has been released.

K9 “Bo the Bloodhound" successfully tracked down an endangered child after a woman tried to stab one of her 19-year-old children and took her 7-year-old son from the scene.
