O'Fallon, Missouri, man charged for shooting woman during road rage incident
ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — An O'Fallon, Missouri, man has been charged with shooting at a woman during a road rage incident in St. Charles County. Dustin C. Duke, 39, was charged on June 1 by the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney with three counts of first-degree assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count each of unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
O’Fallon, MO man charged after shooting on MO 364 in St. Charles
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - An O’Fallon, Missouri man has been charged after police say he fired at least two shots into a car on MO 364 in St. Charles County on May 26. Dustin C. Duke, 39, has been charged with three counts of first-degree assault, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of armed criminal action and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – An O’Fallon, Missouri, man has been charged with a road rage shooting that happened 10 days ago on Missouri 364 in St. Charles County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the shooting occurred just before 6 p.m. on May 26, in the westbound lanes of the highway.

St. Charles County approves partnering with Wentzville on David Hoekel Parkway design
At its May 30 meeting the St. Charles County Council approved Bill No. 5182, sponsored by council member Matt Swanson (District 1), that authorizes an intergovernmental agreement with the city of Wentzville for design and right-of-way work for the future construction of David Hoekel Parkway. The vote to approve was 7-0.

Attempted burglary suspect in ICU after police chase ends in fiery crash in St. Charles County
WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV) – An attempted burglary suspect is in the hospital after leading police on a chase that ended in a fiery crash over the weekend. According to Wentzville police, the unnamed suspect backed his vehicle into Heartland Gun & Ammo to burglarize the business. Police say he did not succeed in breaking in on Sunday. Officers from O’Fallon, Missouri then staged on the highway and identified a car with rear-end damage. The car sped up after the plate was obtained and a pursuit was authorized until Wentzville police could confirm a vehicle description.

St. Charles County Government Military Veterans Hosting Flag Collection June 14
If you have a worn or damaged U.S. flag and don’t know where or how to dispose of it properly, the military veterans of St. Charles County Government are ready to help. The County’s Veterans Best Practices Working Group is hosting its annual Flag Collection for the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14. The event occurs at a drive-by collection site between the County Administration and Corrections buildings at the corner of Monroe and Second Streets in St. Charles. The flags are donated to AMVETS, who retire the flags ceremoniously.
The Prairie Mixed-Use Community in St. Charles County Adds Señor Pancho’s Cantina Mexican Restaurant
Señor Pancho’s Cantina, a new Mexican restaurant, will open in a 45,000-square-foot mixed-use building now under construction within The Prairie multi-family community in Dardenne Prairie, MO developed by Mia Rose Holdings. The restaurant, owned and operated by the previous owners and chef of Don Emiliano’s Restaurante Mexicano in O’Fallon, MO, will bring the authentic food and culture of Mexico to St. Charles County. The restaurant will seat approximately 80 customers between the indoor dining and outdoor patio areas. The menu will feature a mix of family recipes, traditional dishes and a variety of vegan options.
Letter to the Editor - Is More Growth Too Much?
This past November, I expressed concerns about the explosive growth in St. Charles County, including the explosion of apartment buildings by over 300% in the past two years. Recently, a request for rezoning was submitted to the St. Charles County Planning and Zoning Commission to develop an approximate 600-home subdivision near Frontier Middle School on Highway DD to Schwede Road. In this request, the property is being rezoned from Agricultural District to R1A (1-acre minimum lot size) and R1E Residential District (7,000 square feet minimum lot size).
