Cass County Sheriff Bryan Welk reports a Risk Level 3 Offender was released May 20 to the 300 block of Spruce Avenue in Cass Lake. The offender is Gerald Lee Jones, born Dec. 19, 1982. Man Dies in Rollover Crash Near Outing in Cass County
A 51-year-old Outing man has died in a crash involving two vehicles near Outing. The crash happened just before 9:20 Thursday night on County Road 48 in Crooked Lake Township. Cass County Sheriff Bryan Welk reports that Robert Dewitt was driving a pickup truck that rolled in the roadway, and Dewitt was ejected from the truck. A dump truck then struck the pickup that had rolled.

Cass County Fair Board receives donation
At a recent Cass County Fair Board Meeting, Commissioner Bob Kangas (second from left) presented a check for $10,000 to Board members to fund improvements to the 4H Food Stand at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Pine River and to defray costs for 4H members competing at the State Fair and NE Livestock Show. The generous gift came from Creamery Blends Inc., which donated unclaimed capital credits, and Land O’ Lakes which matched that amount. Thank you to these organizations for supporting 4H.
