City of Springfield Gives Update on Roads, Power Outage
Springfield officials updated residents on the condition of roads and power outages on Thursday morning. The city reports that “all roads have reopened inside the city limits. We still have major flooded areas leading into the city limits in various places. Drivers should use caution and turn around if they see standing water. All electricity has been restored and traffic signals are working after some outages overnight. There were trees down but at this time, everything has been cleared.”

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) – The City of Springfield says the majority of the Tennessee city has lost power after a tornado touched down in Robertson County on Wednesday. Officials are urging drivers to stay off the roadways at all possible. Crews are currently assessing the cause of the outages and crews are working to restore power.
City of Springfield Trash Will Not Be Collected on Tuesday, May 14
Due to a brief closure at the Robertson County Transfer Station, trash will not be collected on Tuesday, May 14th. Customers who normally have their trash collected on Tuesday will have their cart(s) collected on Wednesday, May 15th. Trash carts must be curbside by 5:30 a.m. to avoid being missed.
