Hale drove over 70 mph westbound on Division Street with his lights off. As he approached West Bypass, deputies reported that Hale accelerated to speeds exceeding 100 mph and ran through red lights.

After avoiding southbound traffic at Chestnut Expressway, Hale struck tire deflation devices deployed by officers. His car came to a stop just south of Sunshine.

Hale was arrested and booked at the Greene County Jail with a $10,000 bond.
