Don't let rain dampen your Bloomsday run in Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash. - Don’t let Bloomsday be “Gloomsday!” Rain showers are expected to hit during Bloomsday on Sunday, but that shouldn't deter you from running. To prepare for running in rainy weather, make sure you bring your water-repellent clothes. Fabrics like nylon, polyester blends or lightweight merino wool, as recommended by REI, will keep you warm even if they get wet. Fabrics like cotton tend to soak up water, becoming heavy and uncomfortable, especially during running.
