    Accomplice sentenced to 40 years in prison for shooting Spokane Police officer

    SPOKANE, Wash. -- A 23-year-old man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for his role in a drive-by shooting on Spokane police officers in 2022.

    Isaac Ott pled guilty to all the charges he faced including conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree assault, and drive-by shooting.

    In June 2022, Ott and his accomplice Ray Wynecoop shot at Spokane Police Officer Kris Honaker who was responding to a shooting call when the two men open fired on his patrol vehicle. Honaker was hit but has since recovered.

    Wynecoop was previously sentenced to over 65 years as video evidence showed the two men bragging about their attempt to kill officers.

    Ott still faces federal charges in this case.
