SPOKANE, Wash. -- A woman who had gone missing over the weekend was found safe on Monday night.

According to Spokane Police, Amanda Pakootas, 38, was found safe in a car on April 29 near Regal Street and 4th Avenue.

Pakootas had been reported missing on April 27 after she was last seen at a friend's home in Airway Heights. According to Washington State Patrol, she left the friend's home unwillingly with 51-year-old Joseph Parisien.

After finding Pakootas, police believed Parisien was at a home in East Central Spokane. Police and SWAT searched the home, but did not find him.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding Parisien, who is considered dangerous. They do not know if he is armed.

Parisien is 5 foot 10 inches, 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans around 6 p.m. on Monday evening.

He is believed to be on foot.

Spokane Police Department is working with the FBI on the investigation and search.

Anyone with information about Parisien's whereabouts should call 9-1-1.
