One dead after crash on Lake Ontario State Parkway in Greece
One person was killed in a crash on Lake Ontario State Parkway in Greece on Thursday morning, according to New York State Police. The crash occurred on the parkway's eastbound lanes near Manitou Beach Road around 10:30 a.m. It appeared that the car landed on its nose and was engulfed in flames. A stretch of the parkway's eastbound lanes have been closed as troopers investigate at the scene. Lake Shore firefighters were also assisting at the scene. Shon Todd gets 50 years to life for killing woman, burning home
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 50-year-old man who stabbed a woman to death at her home and then set the building on fire was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison. Shon Todd had been convicted by a jury of second-degree murder and second-degree arson in the death of Lysandra Bagley, 37. Rochester firefighters found her body, charred beyond recognition, when they responded to a house fire on Garson Avenue on May 21, 2023. It was determined that she died of multiple stab wounds before the fire.

Two plead guilty to manslaughter in drive-by shooting death
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two men pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter Thursday for the death of Eric Martin Jr. in a drive-by shooting in 2023. Keyvin Miller, 19, will be sentenced to 25 years in prison on June 26, according to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. Kirsean Chatfield, 27, will get 15 years.

GREECE, N.Y. — A 13-year-old Arcadia Middle School student faces charges after allegedly making a threat toward the school. Greece Police said Greece Central School District security staff alerted them just after 6 a.m. Wednesday of a Snapchat message threatening the school. District security and school officials identified the message’s author, and a 13-year-old girl was charged shortly after 11 a.m. with making a terroristic threat and first-degree falsely reporting an incident, both felonies, police said.
