Name, logo to be revealed for Spartanburg baseball team at block party

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg Professional Baseball Club will host a community block party to celebrate the reveal of the team’s new name and colors.

The community-wide block party will be held May 11 beginning at 5 p.m. on Daniel Morgan Avenue between Board Street and West Henry Street.

The event will feature food trucks, live music, kid’s activities, and more.

All of it will lead up to the celebration revealing the team’s name and colors.

“This is the first opportunity for us to start creating lifelong memories with the community and to showcase the personality, energy and fun that fans can expect to experience at Fifth Third Park,” said Tyson Jeffers, General Manager of SPBC.

Below you will find the schedule of events:

• 5:00 p.m. – Event Starts: Streets Open for Food Trucks, Kids Activities & Live Music
• 7:00 p.m. – Name Reveal Begins
• 7:15 p.m. – Merchandise Tent & Jersey Customization Station Open
• 9:00 p.m. – Fireworks
• 9:15 p.m. – Event Ends

Fans and attendees can expect to purchase exclusive team merchandise featuring the new name and logos, as well as visit a jersey customization station where they can personalize their own team jersey with their name and favorite number.
