Hockley Co. man accused of murdering his ex-wife will not stand trial
HOCKLEY COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) - A Hockley County man accused of murdering his wife 30 years ago will not stand trial. The charges against Ricky Don Henderson were dropped just weeks before his trial was set to begin. In 2021, Henderson was indicted for the murder of his wife, 21-year-old Stephanie Meeks, who has been missing since 1993.

Severe storms bring hail, tornado threat, power outages to West Texas
A line of severe thunderstorms was moving through the South Plains and Panhandle early Wednesday evening, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and the threat of tornadoes.
