Olton Golf Regional Qualifiers
REGIONAL QUALIFIERS - The Olton Golf teams competed at the District Meet last week at Reese Golf Course in Lubbock with the Girls team placing second overall, led by individual District Champion Kylee Noack. Noack shot a 92, while Payge Davina shot a 113, Reese shot a 129 and Emma Acker shot a 134. On the boy’s side, they place third as a team, just missing the cut for Regionals, but individually, Brody Langford placed third, shooting a 92, qualifying him for Regionals. Elijah Perez shot a 130, while Logan Lassiter shot a 125, Wyatt DeBerry shot a 120, Wyatt Nelson shot a 128 and Meredith shot a 147. The Olton Golf teams are coached by Bobby Workman. The cheers ringing through the stands, the band playing loud and proud, the laughs and smiles being extended, the smell of homemade chicken strips and fries, and the overall great feeling of being a Wolverine are all of the principles that make the night so significant. #8 Lady Winds Continue District Perfection on Tuesday

Tascosa boys and girls soccer teams fall to Monterey in playoffs
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Tascosa soccer teams went down to Plainview to take on Monterey in the bi-district round on Friday. In the first game, the Tascosa girls fell 3-1 to the Lady Plainsmen. Montrerey went up 2-0 on Tascosa off a beautifully executed throw-in and header finish from Makayla Coronado. Tascosa pulled it back within a goal with a corner connection to Trinity Chambers who put home a header of her own, but it ultimately wasn’t enough as Monterey put one more goal on the board to seal the victory.
