A Southington man faces charges of showing a firearm in a Waterbury commuter parking lot due to a road rage incident.

State police say Gentjan Korcari, 46, pulled a silver handgun out of his coat pocket in the Exit 23 lot off I-84 just after 6:30 Tuesday morning.

It happened after he had been arguing with two people who had claimed Korcari had cut them off while they were driving near Union and Hamilton Avenues.

Korcari claims he was cut off by one of the drivers, and then was being threatened by several people in the commuter lot, thus, he took out his gun.

State police say no shots were fired, and the suspect drove off.

He was later apprehended without incident.

Korcari faces charges of threatening and breach of peace, and is out on a $40,000 bond.

He's to appear in Waterbury Superior Court April 24th.
