Pair arraigned on heavy fentanyl charges in Staten Island takedown
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two men accused of dealing fentanyl on Staten Island were arraigned last week on heavy charges in state Supreme Court, St. George. Carlos Sepulveda, 30, of the 600 block of Port Richmond Avenue in Port Richmond, and Alexander Ramos, 58, of Townsend Avenue in the Bronx, had been indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Somerset County sending its inmates to Morris Correctional Facility
With no discussion at their meeting on Tuesday, the Somerset County commissioners approved a five-year contract with Morris County that ends on May 31, 2029. Under the terms of the shared services agreement, Somerset County will be paying Morris $115 a day per inmate. That represents about a 10% to 15% reduction in the cost of housing an inmate at the Somerset County Jail.

WESTFIELD – A new luxury apartment building has opened in the township. Rent starts at $4,300 at the building owned by Westfield-based company Adoni Property Group. The building's 40 rental units, including duplexes and penthouse duplexes with private rooftop terraces, range from 750 to 2,650 square feet.
