Tracking showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Storms have already started to pop up along an area of instability, but these have been mostly northwest of our area. The instability will trend toward the southeast as a weak cold front travels south into the region. This will provide the spark for showers and storms to really start to develop, becoming widespread by this evening. Winds and hail are the main concern when it comes to these but a tornado cannot be ruled out. Storms should be finished by 3 a.m.

Fabric and arts retailer Joann becomes private company following bankruptcy filing
(Gray News) – Joann, the largest retailer for sewing and fabric supplies, announced it will become a privately owned company in the aftermath of its bankruptcy filing. The company filed for bankruptcy in the middle of March with the expectation that it would re-emerge from the court-supervised process by the end of the following month.
