Plainfield Board of Education to Meet Twice in May
PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Board of Education will hold two meetings in May where action may be taken. Both meetings will take place at 6pm at the Charles and Anna Booker School. The first, a special meeting slated to center around board training and personnel, will be on Tuesday, May 7. The short agenda contains the appointment of district personnel for the 2025-2025 school year. Seth Clarke was offered by Rutgers football last week, putting the Big Ten program in the mix for the class of 2026 athlete. Clarke announced in early May his intention to transfer to The Hun School (Princeton, New Jersey), having previously played for Staten Island powerhouse program Monsignore Farrell. His offer from Rutgers came on Saturday while on a visit. Woman struck by NJ Transit train in Morris County
A woman was taken to a hospital after she was hit by a train and suffered a “severe” leg injury Saturday night, officials confirmed. Authorities responded at about 7:23 p.m. on a report of a woman who was struck and on a train platform in Morristown, an NJ Transit spokesperson told NJ Advance Media on Saturday night.
