Marco, Newest Member of Somerville Police Department, Makes a Hit with the Ladies

SOMERVILLE, NJ - Marco, a three-month-old therapy dog, made his first official public appearance during Thursday night's Girls Night Out with his partner, Officer Nicole DeBiase.

He was a crowd pleaser; playful and full of energy, dozens stopped by to pet him and rub his belly.

The event is hosted by the Downtown Somerville Alliance, and was first held in 2016.

There were shopping and dining deals from downtown Somerville merchants, entertainment, raffles, massages and more. This year’s theme was Decades: 80’s versus 90’s, whicih helped explains some of the outfits in the crowd.

Special GNO offers included special sales/promotions from merchants, food and drink specials from some of downtown Somerville's top eateries, and trolley rides to the East and West ends of Main Street.
