Twelve of the best girls track and field teams in Minnesota will vie for the state Class AAA True Team title, beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Stillwater High School. Amery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell just short of the Cumberland Beavers by a score of 7-6. Amery was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cumberland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.
