JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Some communities and businesses across Jackson County are hosting events to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month. This includes the 2024 annual Jackson Pride Fest in downtown Jackson, a family picnic and drag bingo events. Here is a look at where to celebrate pride in the Jackson County-area.
Ives Gardens closes after 125 years of fresh produce - especially sweet corn - in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Ives Gardens is the place many Jackson County residents have gotten their summer sweet corn and other locally-grown vegetables for 125 years. For generations, the Ives family has taken care of its land to keep that fresh produce coming. Land donation will double the size of a Jackson County park
JACKSON COUNTY, MI - A Jackson County park is set to nearly double in size and accessibility. A 2.6-acre parcel adjacent to Grass Lake County Park was accepted as a donation by members of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners’ General Government Committee during a June 10 meeting. The donation is up for final approval by the full board of commissioners on Tuesday, June 18.
