Indiana softball readies for ‘loaded’ Columbia Regional with eye on making history
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana softball was well prepared on Sunday when it earned a second straight NCAA tournament bid. Coach Shonda Stanton busted out containers of bubbles for every player on the team as well as some bubble guns to celebrate reaching the Columbia Regional. It was the first time since 1985-86 the Hoosiers have reached the tournament in back-to-back seasons. ...

Indiana softball turned into the Cinderella team in Big Ten Tournament, ultimately falls to Michigan
Indiana softball started Big Ten conference play 0-6, losing back-to-back weekend series. It was far from the Hoosiers' 18-5 conference record in 2023 — one of its best seasons. As the conference play unfolded, the Hoosiers found their rhythm and tapped into their strong team chemistry, which became a...

IHSAA girls track: Records fall in the rain as Bloomington North wins 5th title in a row
Ellie Barada decided to switch gears this postseason, but she's not letting off the accelerator. The Bloomington South sophomore was a state medalist in the 400 last year, but started to see a better future in the 800 this time around. That vision paid off at Tuesday's wet Bloomington North girls track sectional as Barada took control in the last 300 to smash her school record and a 40-year-old sectional mark as well to win the title. ...
IHSAA softball Fab 15 rankings: Sectional outlook for Central Indiana's top teams
We’re a week away from the beginning of the 2024 Indiana high school softball state tournament. A lot happened last week, so we’re doing a hard reset on this week’s rankings (don’t put significant stock in where teams ranked last week). And since I’m not sure if we’ll do another one of these before the way-too-early in June, we’ll also rate each team’s draw on a scale of 1-5 and explain why they’ll win their sectional. ...
