Records fall in Great Gator track meet at Bowling Green
The HCHS track teams competed in the Great Gator Invitational at Bowling Green Friday. The Hornet boys team placed third. The girls were 13th. The Hancock County boys 4×200 meter relay team placed second in 1:34. In the process they broke the HCHS school record by more than 1.5 seconds. Hornet runners were Wyatt Emmick, Matthew Carroll, Cooper Jones and Ben Baker.

WKU Golfers Prepare for NCAA Regionals
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Both WKU golf programs will be represented in postseason play after Catie Craig and Luke Fuller advanced following the Conference USA Tournament. Fuller is headed to the West Lafayette regional, held at Purdue University from May 13-15, where he will become the first Hilltopper men’s golfer to play in a regional since 2019.
BG has two big innings to stop OHS 7-3
Owensboro High School had cut a 3-run deficit to one run, but Bowling Green scored three runs in the top of the sixth for a 7-3 win Thursday at Shifley Park. BG was up 4-1 in the fourth inning and had built a 3-0 lead with the help of a double by Ethan Madison and an OHS error. Madison also had a solo home run in the top of the third.
