Kaladi's Bistro announces closure

Kaladi's Bistro, a central Sioux Falls staple, is closing.

Owners of the restaurant made the announcement Thursday evening via Facebook and "a heavy heart." The last day for the eatery is Friday, with hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We extend our sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and patronage throughout the years," the announcement read. "Your loyalty has meant the world to us."

The message goes on the say the owners have shared a lifetime of memories and friendships at the bistro, and thanked customers for "being part of our story."

The bistro started as an established coffee house back in 2003, but has seen at least two sets of owners beyond the original owners since 2013, according to Argus Leader archives.

No reason was given in the announcement about the closure.
