PHOTOS: Siouxland picking up after wind and hail damage

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — After extreme weather overnight , Siouxlanders are cleaning up Tuesday morning.

Here is some damage from around Sioux City.

Damage was bad enough that the Sergeant Bluff Police Department said Monday night at 11:19 p.m. that a powerline was down at across Port Neal Road and Huntington Drive.

The Sioux City Community School District was also without power in the morning. Riverside Elementary School, West Middle School, and West High School were all without power but were set to start as normal as power was expected to be restored quickly. And the power was restored, and the school day is continuing as normal.

The City of South Sioux City announced they will be collecting branches that have fallen in residents yards due to the storm.

The video and pictures below were from hail Monday night hitting two locations north of Hartington, Neb.

Hartington, Neb. wasn’t the only place that received hail. Others in Siouxland also received it. Below are a few photos from viewers.

In Vermillion, S.D., a tree fell at the Suburban Mobile Home Park near 833 E. Duke St. causing a ruptured gas line . Below are two photos from there.

Severe weather is still possible Tuesday afternoon. The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for most of Siouxland until 5 p.m.
