    2024 Midwest 8-Ball Championships brings estimated 1,600 people to Sioux City

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — 144 pool tables were set up at the Seaboard Triumph Foods Expo for a competition for all ages.

    Since this past Wednesday, the Midwest 8-Ball Championships has brought roughly 1,600 people from around the United States to compete for $85,000.

    The championships not only brought in older professional players but also allowed the next generations of billiards enthusiasts to take the stage.

    “Watching my parents play, I just wanted to kinda do what they did and try and get better and win,” said Logan Alright, a 10-year-old who was competing in the Midwest 8-Ball Junior Championships.

    “I thought it could be more fun, more challenging for myself to improve definitely on my game,” said 15-year-old Adisyn Fehl who competed in the Junior Championships.

    Fehl said she loves competition in competitions like today’s and hopes to continue improving her skills in billiards.
