Deputies searching for man who ran into woods during an attempted traffic stop

SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho -- Deputies in Shoshone County are searching for a man who left his car during an attempted traffic stop on Saturday night.

According to Shoshone County Sheriff's Office, deputies tried to stop a car on May 4 as it was driving eastbound on I-90 close to milemarker 59, near Silverton, Idaho.

The car did not stop and continued east into Montana.

Shoshone County Sheriff's Office said the driver eventually got out of his car and ran into some nearby woods.

No description of the suspect was provided and deputies are conducting an investigation.
