SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA — Forecasters are watching for back-to-back storm systems aimed at California as the overall weather pattern is expected to shift significantly toward mid-November. Multiple powerful storms could arrive one after another, bringing periods of heavy rainfall, especially if atmospheric rivers become involved, which looks increasingly possible. The sea wall along the Long Beach Peninsula and several homes have been affected by rising tides and swells caused by a surging Kelvin wave and an El Niño.
