Surflight Liquor License Ordinance Adopted
At its meeting Monday night, May 13, the Beach Haven Borough Council adopted an ordinance to allow for a plenary retail consumption license for Surflight Theatre. The ordinance was made possible through legislation signed into law last year by Gov. Phil Murphy that enables nonprofit theaters and arts centers to serve alcohol during specific times. The legislation was sponsored by state senators Vin Gopal (D-11th) and Shirley Turner (D-15th). Companion legislation in the Assembly was sponsored by Sterley Stanley (D-18th).
