Elevated Gas Levels Prompt Evacuation in Ship Bottom
First responders cleared block 100 of 15th Street on the morning of April 17 due to a gas leak, Ship Bottom fire officials reported. Station 46 was dispatched to the scene shortly before 10 a.m. and the first crew confirmed elevated gas readings in the interior and exterior of a home on the block. Due to the severity of the readings, an evacuation of the area was ordered.

A security product review platform has rated Barnegat and Stafford townships among the safest towns in New Jersey. SafeWise reviewed FBI crime statistics for cities and municipalities in the state to compile its 10th annual Safest Cities report. A total of 102 cities met the criteria to be considered for ranking. It cited voluntary information that towns report through the FBI Summary Reporting System and National Incident-Based Reporting System.

Stafford Recreation Plans Prom for Senior Residents
As part of National Older Americans Month in May, the Stafford Township Recreation Department has scheduled something new for this year – “A Night to Remember.”.
