BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Join the Ainad Shriners for the upcoming Shriners Parade. Ainad Shriners will hold its annual parade in downtown Belleville on Friday, June 2nd. It is a family friendly event that kicks off at 7:30 pm. The parade includes Shriners' motorized vehicles and marching units from across Southern Illinois and St. Louis. The parade has been a tradition for Belleville since the 1950's.

Semi truck crash closes WB I-270 in Edwardsville
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — A semi truck crash closed westbound I-270 at around 10:30 a.m. near I-55 at Edwardsville. Traffic is backing up in the area. Illinois State Police say that the crash involved two trucks. One truck-tractor rolled onto its side across the westbound lanes, spilling its load onto the interstate.

INDIANAPOLIS — A fugitive out of St. Louis, Mo., with ties to Indiana, has been added to the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list. On May 25, 2023, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s St. Louis Field Office, along with the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, announced the addition of Donald Eugene Fields II to the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” List for his alleged involvement in sex trafficking activities.

SHREWSBURY — Thirty-five parishes will be closed and 15 others will be merged to form five new parishes as part of a sweeping reorganization of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. The parish closings and mergers do not necessarily mean that the church buildings associated with those parishes will also close; those decisions will be made later.
Church catches fire on Washington Avenue overnight
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Crews responded after a church in St. Louis caught fire overnight. According to the St. Louis Fire Department, the church is near Washington Avenue and T E Huntley Avenue. The fire was reported around 3 a.m. Crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from the church and discovered a fire in the basement. Two aerial waterways were used while extinguishing the flames. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
