Fever guard Caitlin Clark gave the Storm's Nika Muhl a rude welcome to the WNBA on Wednesday night.

In the third quarter, with Seattle up 54-51, Clark hit a step-back three over Muhl. The two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year was making her WNBA debut after visa issues prevented her from suiting up for the Storm's first four games.

Muhl didn't play in the first half and had just entered the game 34 seconds before Clark hit the three over her.

"Rookie on rookie crime!" exclaimed Storm play-by-play announcer Dick Fain.

While Wednesday's meeting is the first between Clark and Muhl as pros, they met just last month in the NCAA Tournament's Final Four when Clark was at Iowa and Muhl was at UConn.

Clark was held to 7-of-18 shooting in that one, a 71-69 Iowa win, with Muhl receiving the primary assignment on the NCAA's all-time leading scorer.

Clark didn't take long at all to get revenge in the pros.
