Graduate students in business displaced by College of Saint Rose closure continuing at Russell Sage
Russell Sage is absorbing a master’s degree program from the College of Saint Rose as the longtime Albany college shutters. Making the move to Russell Sage as Saint Rose closes after more than a century is the Flex Master’s in Business Administration, the only program of its kind in the Capital Region. Central to the program is a hybrid teaching model, wherein students have three options for viewing classes: live in person, live online, or via recorded class sessions.
Local team scores Odyssey of the Mind World Finals win
Capital Region — A big win for the Broadalbin-Perth Odyssey of the Mind team, the title of WORLD CHAMPIONS!. The team from Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School returned Sunday night from Iowa State University, where they won first place in their problem and division at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals. The students were greeted by supporters as they came through the Village of Broadalbin, with an impromptu parade. An in-school celebration is planned for Tuesday.
Memories of 1964-65 Albany Red Devils live on with watchalong event
ALBANY — If you win in a small town, you’ll be remembered for an eternity. Although the school closed its doors for good shortly after their season, the 1964-65 Albany Red Devils basketball squad will never be forgotten in Athens County.
