Central Wisconsin Airport to hold live-fire training on Thursday
MOSINEE, Wis. (WSAW) - The Central Wisconsin Airport will be holding a simulated training exercise on Thursday, May 16 from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. CWA, as a Federal Aviation Administration-certified Class 1 airport, is required to hold annual “live burn” training exercises. Noticeable training fires will be happening primarily between 7 - 9 a.m., and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - You have been so generous during our NewsChannel 7 inaugural Diaper Drive, and you have one last chance to help out Thursday in person. NewsChannel 7 will be at The Babies’ Place on the Community Partners Campus. Its the drive-thru diaper drop-off. We will have staff and traffic cones to help guide you through the line. We’ll be collecting diapers, cash, or you can make a donation of $15 with your credit or debit card. That donation will go directly to the Babies’ Place. The nonprofit helps families in Marathon County in a variety of ways.
New, compacted political maps in Marathon County boot long-time legislator from old district
Since 2016, state Rep. Patrick Snyder has represented the 85th Assembly District, consisting of Wausau and some surrounding areas. So the Republican was probably surprised earlier this year to find that new maps that would eventually be enacted moved his Schofield house just a few blocks outside the boundaries of the district.
