NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Sayreville War Memorial softball handed North Brunswick their first loss of the season on Wednesday, April 17, by a final score of 16-3. This was a massive win for Sayreville, with North Brunswick being one of the top teams in the Greater Middlesex Conference.

Sophomore Josephine Vanore pitched six innings for the Bombers, earning four strikeouts while allowing just three runs and two hits.

Fellow sophomore Sara Williamson had a perfect game at bat, going 3 for 3 with an RBI and three runs scored, while junior Hailey Kilpatrick went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored. Other Sayreville hits included two from Vanore and one from both Caydence Barton and Rose Joseph.

With this win, Sayreville is now 5-2 and sits in second place in the White Division. They will play their next game on Saturday, April 20, at home against East Brunswick.
