Two suspects were arrested and released on a citation after being found in possession of stolen items and drugs in Valencia.

Around 6 p.m. Thursday, May 2, deputies responded to a business on the 24000 block of Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia regarding two adults inside the store stealing merchandise, said Deputy Kabrina Borbon, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station .

“Upon deputies arrival, both of the suspects were standing outside of the business with the stolen merchandise next to them,” Borbon said. “The male and female were both detained.”

During the investigation, the male adult was in possession of more stolen items and drug paraphernalia, according to Borbon.

“The female adult was also in possession of stolen merchandise from another business, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia,” Borbon said.

James Evans and Ashey Delgado were both arrested and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail, according to Borbon.

The two theft suspects were subsequently released on a citation to appear in court at a later date.
