Yard House has submitted an application to build a restaurant at the Mimi’s Cafe location in  Valencia.

Officials with the City of Santa Clarita have confirmed that Yard House has submitted an application to demolish Mimi’s Cafe at 24201 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia and rebuild a Yard House, said Patrick Leclair, the planning manager for the City of Santa Clarita .

“The potential construction of a new restaurant is all we are reviewing at this time,” Leclair said.

Currently, Mimi’s Cafe is still open.

City officials say they are only reviewing Yard House’s application and do not know what communications or plans the two restaurants have.

KHTS reached out to Mimi’s Cafe to get insight into their plans, however, the manager told KHTS he could not speak on the change, and all decisions that are made at Mimi’s Cafe come from their corporate office in Dallas, Texas.

KHTS Radio reached out to the Mimi’s Cafe Media contact; however, our email was rejected.

As of the publication of this article, Yard House has not returned KHTS emails or phone calls.
