To honor those with special needs, the City of Santa Clarita held the annual Free To Be Me Festival at West Creek Park.

Participating organizations at the Free To Be Me Festival showcased their programming for individuals with special needs.

The festival included free arts and crafts, face painting, character appearances, a petting zoo and interactions with first responders, as well as live performances and demonstrations.

Recreational groups that cater to the special needs community offered a variety of sports, including soccer, street hockey, basketball and volleyball, so that people from all walks of life can enjoy themselves.

All that partying and strolling around is sure to make people hungry, but fear not—there were plenty of food trucks, like Bomb Burger, to satisfy everyone’s hunger.

From games, music and food, it was truly a great time for everyone as they celebrated the special needs community in Santa Clarita.
