    “Some Sweet Day”: Sandy Actors Theatre will perform the romantic comedy “Some Sweet Day,” written by Flip Kolber and Cindy Marcus, from April 26 through May 19, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. For tickets or more info, visit sandyactorstheatre.com.

    Sandy FFA plant sale: the Sandy FFA Club will host its annual plant sale fundraiser from Friday, May 3, to Saturday, May 11, at the Sandy High School, 37400 Bell St., at the following dates and times: 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 3; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 10; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11. The sale helps defer costs of traveling for competitions and other programs for the Sandy FFA Club.

    “God of Carnage:” Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company will present Yasmina Reza’s black comedy “God of Carnage” from May 17 through June 2, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. matinees on Sundays. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at nnbtheater.com/theater.

    Mount Hood Farmers Market: The AntFarm-facilitated Mount Hood Farmers Market at 38600 Proctor Blvd. opens on at 2 p.m. Friday, May 17. This year the market runs from 2-7 p.m. every Friday, with live music and a plethora of artisans and farmers to shop from. The last market day is Oct. 18.     Hoodland Farmers Market: The Hoodland Farmers Market will return to the Church on the Mountain parking lot on Saturday, May 18, with markets every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Saturday, Oct. 19. For more information about the market or to apply, visit hoodlandfarmersmarket.org.

    Rhody CPO: The Rhododendron Community Planning Organization (CPO) will meet about voting in new board members at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Alpine Event Center, 73365 Highway 26, Rhododendron. If you are interested in volunteering with the CPO, email RhodyCPO@gmail.com.

    Sandy Garden Club plant sale: From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18, the Sandy Garden Club will sell a variety of house plants, herbs, vegetable starts, shrubs and others at the Mount Hood Farmers Market space at 38600 Proctor Blvd., Sandy.     Country Cut-Ups Barn Sale: The Country Cut-Ups Square Dance Club will host its annual barn sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 31, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at 13987 S.E. Richey Road, Boring. The sale includes of variety of gently used items, with something for everyone, and helps the club pay for upkeep of the barn throughout the year.     Bingo in Welches: The Mt. Hood Lions Club will host Bingo nights at 6 p.m. every Friday starting Sept. 29, at the clubhouse at 24730 E. Woodsey Way, Welches. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games start at 7 p.m. Community members, including children (with supervision), are welcome to come play. There will be progressive jackpots and a snack bar. Outside food and drink are prohibited. Bingo nights are cash only. Bingo will be offered through Friday, May 3, with the exceptions of Fridays in December and Friday, Jan. 5.     Free laundry: 6-8 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month at Cedars Laundromat in Sandy Marketplace, 36649 Highway 26. Laundry of Love in Sandy lets families do three small loads of laundry. To donate quarters, detergent or volunteer hours, contact the organization via Facebook at facebook.com/LaundryLoveSandy/ or call Pastor Paul Stone at 971-322-3141.

    Drop or Swap clothing event: 10 a.m.-noon the first Sunday of every month at The Sandy Seventh-day Adventist Church, 18575 S.E. Langensand Road. Offers lightly used children’s clothing, toys, shoes and books. Those who can are encouraged to bring donations, but it is not required. Anyone can attend and benefit.     Sandy Community Action Center: The center aids those with food insecurity by hosting a self-shop style pantry that is open every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments are not necessary and ID is not required.
