Though he is still playing, Chris Paul is already getting a head start on his media career.

ESPN announced Tuesday that the Golden State Warriors guard Paul will be serving as a guest analyst for them during the upcoming Eastern Conference Finals. Paul is set to join the “NBA Countdown” crew for that series and will appear as both a pregame and halftime analyst.

The 12-time All-Star Paul, who recently turned 39, just completed his 19th season in the NBA. While he is on a non-guaranteed contract for 2024-25 and can be waived by the Warriors without penalty before June 28, Paul recently said affirmatively that he intends to continue his playing career .

As for ESPN, they have had many former NBA players serve as both regular and guest analysts on their programming, like Richard Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins, Udonis Haslem, Danny Green, and Austin Rivers. Though current NBA players are more rare, Paul will be able to fill the shoes of this peer of his who just got banned by ESPN .
