Numerous volunteers provide support for agricultural program at San Pasqual Academy

More than 10 local Rotary Clubs, National Charity League, Boy Scouts and other volunteers worked in the organic agricultural program at San Pasqual Academy's At Work Day on April 27. Volunteers painted rocks for a serenity garden, prepped areas with fertilizer, weeded, mulched, and planted vegetables.

San Pasqual Academy, a first-in-the-nation residential education campus designed specifically for youth in foster care, serves as a placement option for 12-17 year olds and non-minor dependents up to age 19.

Friends of San Pasqual Academy, a philanthropic nonprofit organization, serves as an additional resource to improve, empower and enrich the lives of Academy students and alumni. Friends of San Pasqual Academy has been providing support in a variety of ways for the foster teens of San Pasqual Academy for over 24 years. Visit www.friendsofsanpasqualacademy.org.
