Teen Volunteers in Action (TVIA) SD3 held their Senior Send-Off event on Sunday, April 21, at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. The young men in the Senior Class were honored for six years of volunteer work, leadership development and contributions to the community.

TVIA is a nonprofit organization that engages young men beginning in 7th grade, who, together with their families, participate in structured programs of volunteerism, philanthropy, and personal development. The mission of TVIA is to develop community leaders and their outreach throughout the county is broad. These 23 seniors have volunteered for organizations such as the San Diego Food Bank, Miracle League, Autism Tree, 92130 Cares, Burrito Boyz, Last Chance at Life Rescue, Paradise Dreams Animal Sanctuary, Bridge of Hope, Solutions for Change, Meals on Wheels and Feeding America San Diego to name a few.

Nine young men were honored with the Franci Free Award for Excellence in Service for going far above and beyond their TVIA requirements.
