Life Time RSC Hosts Pro Pickleball Championship Weekend
Professional pickleball returns to San Clemente with back-to-back championship events over a six-day stretch at Life Time Rancho San Clemente. After wildly successful weekends for both the individual-based PPA Tour’s Orange Country Cup and team-based Major League Pickleball Season 1 Finals at Life Time in June, both pro circuits will again be awarding championships at the San Clemente venue.

Laguna Beach High School girl’s water polo: ready for a comeback this season
Laguna Beach High School has had a lot of success with their various sports teams since 1934, a legendary one being their girl’s water polo team. LBHS has had three infamous female water poloists including Annika Dries in 2009 and the Fischer sisters, Makenzie in 2015 and Aria in 2017. After a loss against Foothill High School during the 2022-2023 Opening Division CIF games, Laguna is ready to come back as strong as ever with assistance from head coach Katie Teets and assistant coaches Danielle Borelli and Molly Barnes. Through intense training and a great team dynamic, Laguna is ready to take that spot of being number one.
Ladera Ranch Community Services Announces Fall Season Adult Softball Champions
Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) concluded the fall season of the Men's Slow Pitch Adult Softball League. Games were played on Tuesday (1 Division) and Thursday (Upper and Lower Divisions) evenings at Cox Sports Park. This year, eighteen teams competed in the 2023 fall season. LBHS Girls Soccer program starts with a fresh start this season
Girls soccer, a highly regarded sport at Laguna Beach High School, is making waves this coming season with many aspirations to succeed. They are starting fresh this season with a new coach and many experienced returning players. After a chaotic season last year, the players are ready to return stronger and with redemption to win. They are set to play some of the most challenging teams in the Sunset League (Division Two).
Corsairs Defeat 2022 State Champions
Women’s soccer beats previously undefeated Saddleback in tense playoff. The Santa Monica College Corsairs women’s soccer team defeated the Saddleback College Bobcats 1-0 in a tense playoff match on Nov. 21 in Mission Viejo, California. The Bobcats were undefeated this season, and also last year’s state champion. Both teams came close to scoring several times throughout the game, yet it was Corsair midfielder Vashti Zuniga who scored a point during a penalty shot in the final minutes of the first half.
Local CUSD Student-Athletes Commit to College Sports on National Signing Day
National Signing Day occurred on November 8. Several student-athletes from Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) signed their National Letters of Intent (NLI). They will participate in college sports next year. These students hail from schools such as Aliso Niguel, Capistrano Valley, Dana Hills, San Clemente, San Juan Hills, and Tesoro.
