    Blotter for May 17

    In Salisbury Police Department reports:

    • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 100 block of Hemlock Drive between 3 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. on May 15.
    • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street between 10 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. on May 14. It was reported on May 15. The total estimated loss was $239.
    • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 600 block of Bringle Ferry Road between 9 p.m. on May 13 and 2 p.m. on May 15. The total estimated loss was $350.
    • Fraud by impersonation occurred in the 300 block of Heilig Avenue between noon on Jan. 1, 2021 and noon on March 19, 2024. It was reported on May 15, 2024. The total estimated loss was $16,713.
    • Harold Lee Miller, 59, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female and a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence on May 15.

    In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

    • A sex offender registry violation occurred at Backwoods Lane between noon on April 1 and 9:59 a.m. on April 14.
    • A larceny occurred at Shinn Road between 2:21 p.m. on May 1 and 2:40 p.m. on May 14.
    • Eric James Howard, 35, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance on May 14.
    • Jden Kendell Dillard Oliver, 24, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor injury to personal property on May 14.
